The orchestra conjures the atmosphere of the late 1920s and early 1930s: the period of music where the energy of the Jazz Age blended with the elegance of early Hollywood. Drawing from popular tunes of the era and classic film scores, we capture the authentic feel of the dance orchestras from the time. Our sophisticated vintage arrangements balance the hot jazz rhythms that ignited dance floors of the 1920s, and the lush string orchestrations that graced the silver screen in the 1930s.

Low down, honest to goodness old time blues singing. Heidi Evelyn does her tribute to the greats, such as Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey, Mamie Smith and Victoria Spivey. Based on her in-depth study of acoustic singing in the old style, her powerful vocals are filled with emotion and truth in the sound.
